Bicycle Mechanic – e-bike of Colorado

Location: Louisville, CO
Pay Range: $17–$22 per hour starting (based on experience). Paid holidays off and commission will be paid (in addition to hourly wage) once the employee works at the company for 6 months.

Position Summary: Bicycle Mechanic

e-bike of Colorado is looking for passionate and hands-on individuals to join our team as Bicycle Mechanics. In this role, you will assist in maintaining, assembling, and repairing bicycles while providing excellent customer service. Whether you're a cycling enthusiast or someone eager to develop mechanical skills, this is a great opportunity to grow your expertise in a supportive, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble new bicycles and perform basic maintenance tasks

  • Diagnose and repair common bike issues, including tire replacements, brake adjustments, and drivetrain tuning

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards

  • Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding their bicycle needs

  • Stay up-to-date with bike models, parts, and repair techniques through training and hands-on experience


Qualifications:

  • A passion for cycling and basic knowledge of bicycle components (experience is a plus but not required)

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior mechanics

  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities

  • Ability to lift and maneuver bicycles and stand for extended periods

  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use software systems to complete tasks

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand and/or walk throughout the shift to complete tasks, assist customers on the sales floor, and perform job duties

  • Perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and fingers frequently

  • Consistently evaluate the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned tasks

  • Lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds regularly

  • Occasionally climb or descend ladders, stairs, or step stools as needed

  • Work in environments that may occasionally be noisy


Independent Judgment:

  • Carry out tasks and responsibilities under general supervision, adhering to established guidelines and procedures

  • Exercise problem-solving skills by selecting from limited alternatives to address issues as they arise

  • Use independent judgment occasionally to complete work assignments effectively

  • Provide input and recommendations to improve work processes, policies, and practices when appropriate
